E/E Testing Engineer (HIL Testing)

We are currently looking for a E/E Testing Engineer (HIL Testing) will be responsible for managing and validating all electrical and electronic configurations of vehicles in development through Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing. This role involves verification, functional testing, and working closely with various teams to ensure the proper integration and functionality of ECU systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Hardware/Software Verification:
- Verify hardware and software configurations of Electronic Control Units (ECUs).
- Update ECU software via flashing and coding.
- Verify the integration of electrical and electronic components to ensure proper functioning.
- Functional Testing:
- Design and execute bench tests to validate the behavior of ECUs under various scenarios.
- Analyze test results and identify any anomalies or issues.
- Conduct automated tests using proprietary diagnostic tools and HIL simulation software.
- Use CANoe software for simulation and analysis of communication between ECUs.
- Technical Interface Role:
- Work closely with the integration team to verify system interoperability.
- Communicate with component development teams to report issues, discuss anomalies, and propose solutions or modifications.
Tools Used:
- CANoe for CAN network testing and simulation.
- Proprietary tools for automated testing and diagnostics.
- Flashing and coding software for ECU programming.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.
- Strong experience with HIL testing and ECU integration.
- Hands-on experience with CANoe or similar simulation software.
- Knowledge of ECU flashing and coding techniques.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and automated testing procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team and communicate effectively with development teams.
- Proficiency in both English and German/Italian is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in the automotive industry, particularly in E/E systems.
- Familiarity with the latest automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
