JOB DESCRIPTION
As part of the development of our Energy & Industrial activities in Switzerland, we are looking for a Senior EPLAN Electrical Engineer (M/F).
Reporting to a technical manager, you will support an industrial brownfield project involving field surveys, electrical documentation updates and EPLAN engineering activities.
You will work closely with engineering teams and operational stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and consistency of electrical documentation across existing installations.
Responsibilities
Field Surveys & Electrical Assessment
• Perform on-site electrical surveys and data collection activities.
• Verify existing installations and compare them with available documentation.
• Identify discrepancies between field conditions and engineering documents.
• Collect and structure technical information required for documentation updates.
• Interact with maintenance and operational teams to validate findings.
Electrical Engineering & EPLAN
• Update and maintain electrical schematics using EPLAN.
• Review existing electrical documentation and identify required modifications.
• Ensure consistency between field installations and engineering deliverables.
• Produce and update technical drawings and documentation packages.
• Support engineering teams during documentation review phases.
Technical Coordination
• Coordinate with project stakeholders and engineering disciplines.
• Participate in technical meetings and review sessions.
• Contribute to technical problem solving and clarification activities.
• Support project planning and reporting activities.
Documentation & Quality
• Produce and review:
Electrical schematics
Single-line diagrams
Cable lists
Equipment lists
Technical reports
As-built documentation
• Ensure documentation quality and traceability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
YOUR PROFILE
You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation or an equivalent discipline and have significant experience in industrial electrical engineering environments.
Requirements
• Strong experience with EPLAN.
• Experience performing field surveys on industrial sites.
• Knowledge of electrical installations and industrial systems.
• Ability to update and create electrical documentation.
• Experience working in brownfield or revamping projects.
• Ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams.
• Comfortable working both on-site and remotely.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or food-processing industries.
• Knowledge of instrumentation systems.
• Experience with as-built documentation activities.
• Familiarity with industrial utilities.
Languages
• Professional English is mandatory.
• French is appreciated.
