JOB DESCRIPTION
As part of the development of our activities in the canton of Vaud, we are looking for a Hardware Validation / Bring-Up Engineer (M/F).
You will join an engineering team working on advanced electronic products operating in demanding and highly structured environments.
Responsibilities
Participate in hardware validation, qualification and verification activities.
Perform board bring-up, debugging and troubleshooting of electronic boards.
Execute test plans and document test results.
Support design teams during issue analysis and corrective actions.
Contribute to PCBA-level and product-level validation.
Use laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators and analyzers.
Support EMC, ESD, thermal or vibration testing when required.
Contribute to design reviews, DFM/DFA activities and technical documentation.
Support industrialization, production readiness and supplier feedback activities.
Work in a structured engineering environment with strong quality and process expectations.
YOUR PROFILE
You hold a degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or a related field.
You have 5 to 10 years of experience in hardware testing, validation, qualification, bring-up or electronic board debugging. Experience in automotive, airborne, aerospace, industrial or regulated environments is highly appreciated.
Requirements
Experience in hardware validation, hardware testing or electronic board bring-up.
Ability to read and understand electronic schematics.
Hands-on laboratory experience.
Experience with PCBA testing and troubleshooting.
Ability to write clear test documentation and validation reports.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and international environment.
Nice to have
Experience in automotive, aerospace, airborne or regulated environments.
Experience with EMC, ESD, thermal or vibration testing.
Exposure to DFM / DFA / DFT methodologies.
Experience with tools such as Altium, KiCAD, Zuken, Expedition or equivalent.
Knowledge of communication interfaces such as CAN, Ethernet, USB, SPI, I2C or UART.
Previous exposure to industrialization or production support.
Languages
Fluent English is mandatory.
French is a plus.
