Job Description

In Switzerland, in the Canton of Valais, we are looking for a Project Planner (M/F) to join our Life Sciences team.

The position is based onsite in Visp and involves supporting the planning and execution of major capital projects across different project stages, from design through commissioning and start-up.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor and update integrated project plans and schedules.

• Prepare baseline schedules and schedule-basis documentation.

• Assess impacts on the critical path and near-critical activities.

• Monitor schedule deviations and variances and support the definition of corrective actions.

• Prepare project progress reports, trend charts and schedule analyses.

• Maintain records of scope changes, trends and variances affecting schedule performance.

• Ensure the credibility and reliability of schedule information.

• Regularly review schedules with project team members and contractors.

• Facilitate project scheduling meetings and interactive planning sessions.

• Support resource loading and forecasting activities.

• Coordinate planning interfaces between Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning teams.

• Contribute to accurate and timely project reporting.

Your Profile

• 5–8 years of Project Planning experience within large industrial CAPEX projects.

• Experience planning projects above CHF 20 million is essential.

• Experience on very large-scale projects above CHF 300 million is an advantage.

• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

• Experience working within an EPCM organisation is essential.

• Experience covering projects from design through commissioning / start-up.

• Experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology or a comparable process industry.

• Strong analytical capabilities and ability to work with complex project data.

• Excellent command of English.

• German language skills are an advantage.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, preferably in Engineering, Science or Business Management.

• Autonomous while being comfortable working within multidisciplinary project teams.
