JOB DESCRIPTION

As part of the development of our activities in the aerospace, defence, space, railway and medical device sectors, we are looking for a Senior PCB Layout Engineer to work on complex electronic board designs in demanding and regulated environments.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Perform placement and routing of complex, high-density multilayer PCBs;

• Translate electronic schematics and technical constraints into robust and manufacturable PCB layouts;

• Define and apply PCB design rules in line with electrical, mechanical, thermal and manufacturing requirements;

• Work on mixed-signal boards integrating digital, analogue and power functions;

• Participate in PCB stack-up definition and design reviews;

• Ensure compliance with signal integrity, EMC and manufacturability requirements;

• Work closely with Hardware, Mechanical, Industrialization and Quality teams;

• Prepare manufacturing and assembly documentation;

• Support prototype, manufacturing and design modification phases;

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of PCB design methods, rules and component libraries.

YOUR PROFILE

You hold a degree in electronics, electrical engineering, embedded systems or a related field.

You have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in PCB layout for complex electronic boards, including experience with multilayer PCB designs of at least 8 layers, ideally within a demanding or regulated environment.

You have:

• Strong experience in complex multilayer PCB layout;

• Proficiency with Altium Designer / Altium 365, Mentor Xpedition;

• Good knowledge of mixed-signal electronics and high-speed PCB design;

• Good understanding of EMC, signal integrity, power distribution and thermal constraints;

• Experience with advanced PCB technologies and complex component packages;

• Good understanding of PCB manufacturing and assembly processes;

• Experience participating in design reviews and working with multidisciplinary engineering teams;

• A rigorous approach to design documentation, configuration and quality requirements;

• Professional working proficiency in English.

Experience in space, aerospace, defence, automotive, railway or medical devices would be a strong advantage.

You are autonomous, rigorous and analytical, and you enjoy working in technically demanding environments. Your communication skills and attention to quality allow you to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and secure robust PCB designs.
