Assignment Context
A federal institution is looking for an experienced Programme Manager Security & Information Security to lead the NIS2 programme and bring the organization to the required NIS2 Essentials compliance level.
You will be responsible for steering the programme, coordinating the underlying projects, and monitoring programme objectives. You will work closely with security specialists, architects, project leaders, and business stakeholders, ensuring all initiatives are aligned.
While a strong affinity with security and information protection is required, the focus of this role lies primarily on programme steering, governance, stakeholder management, and change management.
The Programme Covers Among Others
Strengthening governance and security policy
Risk management and compliance under NIS2
Identity & Access Management (IAM)
Security monitoring and incident management
Asset, vulnerability, and configuration management
Business continuity and disaster recovery
Awareness and security training
Improvement of security processes and control measures
Responsibilities
Guide and coordinate the entire NIS2 programme to move the organization from its current maturity level to the required NIS2 Essentials level
Develop and monitor programme governance, roadmap, and priorities
Coordinate the various projects, workstreams, and interdependencies within the programme
Monitor planning, budget, risks, quality, and programme progress
Identify bottlenecks and proactively initiate corrective actions to achieve programme objectives
Prepare, launch, and follow up on new projects within the security programme
Ensure clear communication and reporting to management, the programme steering committee, and other stakeholders
Translate complex security and compliance issues into clear decision-making information
Align with the ePMO on methodology, governance, and progress reporting
Guide the necessary organizational changes and adoption processes
Required Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in programme and project management
Demonstrable experience leading complex transformation or compliance programmes
Demonstrable experience with change management
Experience coordinating multiple projects and dependencies within a programme
Affinity with Business Architecture, Application Architecture, and Technical (Security) Architecture
Experience within a federal government institution is a plus
